The Lost Pirate Tower of Victoria Beach

Looking for something to do this weekend? Visit the lost Pirate Tower of Victoria Beach.

Located off of California’s Victoria Beach, there is a seaside tower that looks like it is straight out of a storybook. The tower is affectionately known as the “Pirate Tower” and is a historical landmark in Laguna Beach. Standing 60 ft (18 m) tall against the cliffs, the tower was built in 1926 to provide easy access to the beach below. Unfortunately, the tower is currently locked and visitors are not allowed entry.
Getting to the tower from the beach entrance is an easy walk. However, it’s important to note that there is no public parking available, and the neighborhood parking is very limited. Therefore, the best option is to park at Pacific Coast Highway and walk to Victoria Beach’s trailhead.
To get to the trailhead, it is located between two private homes at 2703 and 2713 Victoria Dr, Laguna Beach, CA 92651.
